38 🎂✨ Strangely, I turned 38 and out of nowhere, I have started thinking more expansively about my future. Questions like do I want to enter politics one day? Crazy thoughts like do I want to run for Congress or heck even President one day? Biden was 78 when he was elected, so I actually still have another 40 years – another full lifetime as I’ve known it. Younger me would have said I can’t, and current me is like why not? Why not me? I’ve started wondering if one day I should run a marathon, write a book, the list goes on. Just a few examples, but the thoughts that have been going through my head have been very different and energizing. And also a reminder that we should all be our own biggest believers - something I wish younger me would have embraced even more. I’m actually shocked how much I’ve loved getting older. It’s been a joy to watch so many friends and peers achieve huge milestones, some now running some of the largest companies, non-profits, media publications in the world 🤯 With age and experience has come confidence and increased optimism from being able to watch others and myself do things that seemed initially impossible or at least highly improbable. So cheers to getting older – feels like society expects me to be sad but truly something worth celebrating! 🎉💗
