#TransgenderDayofRemembrance and the Colorado Springs shooting remind us of the necessity of denouncing hateful politics and rhetoric against the LGBTQ+ community at all times. Our culture is severely damaged and we must prioritize empathy and safety for folks on the margins. The LGBTQ+ community is constantly at the whim of disinformation and misinformation. Hateful politicians craft dangerous narratives about us and encourage the general public to continue to do the same. Ignorance is disgusting AF and we need to be vigilant about confronting it. Don't just “send prayers,” ACT. Your prayers are not enough to keep people alive! #RestInPower to all of our community’s lost ones. You deserved better.
