Introducing RANRA

Arnar Mār Jōnsson is now RANRA. This marks an expansion from brand to studio and an evolution for a label that continues to grow and explore new creative possibilities for clothing design.
The RANRA studio, headed by Arnar Mār Jōnsson and Luke Stevens, will continue to focus on the menswear archetypes and innovations that have become a signature. Blending luxury essentials, everyday functionality and the creative freedom and joy that fashion allows with a focus on natural materials and finishes.
Alongside producing seasonal collections, emphasis will be given to multifaceted projects that embrace the possibilities of a new studio model. It signifies a substantial shift towards ambitious collaborative practice and an ongoing commitment to operating within an expanded definition of design. With projects ranging from textile development and product design to knowledge production and systems-level interventions, the studio will be a space for poetic yet pragmatic experimentation that challenges existing industry practices and continually questions how and why things are made.
The evolution from Arnar Mār Jōnsson to RANRA comes ahead of a string of projects to be announced later this year as well as the reveal of the studio’s Autumn Winter 22 campaign created with @_theosion and @maxpearmain
