You could easily look at this and think it was the mastery of a Kardashian editor, two different bodies or perhaps an add for a miracle cure cream for cellulite that promises to “banish the lumps and bumps”. But it’s not. It’s the same body. My body, a couple days apart. The only difference? The lighting. You know that saying lighting is everything? Well it is. It’s enough to make you look at a photo, and question why you don’t have the smooth skin of the shot on the right- when I don’t even really have it myself! 90% + percent of women have it. In fact “it” was just a made up problem that has over the years gotten lost in translation until we landed on the idea that it was a feminine concern- unsightly and needing to be fixed quick smart! So the next time you’re getting stuck in a doom scroll, or cursing the backs of your thighs just remember you could be channeling that stress into MUCH more important concerns such as- “why is the sky blue?”, or “where do all my socks go?” Or “when is Britney releasing a new album?” The end :)
