Sometimes I think the whole control thing comes from the I have to be independent mindset. When we feel that we lack community, or lack support we can feel like we have to do everything on our own. And much of our world is set up to separate us. ☽ Constant competition is also a result of forgetting that everything is in community with each other at all times. It’s all relationship here in this world of perceived duality. ☽ We have an innate urge to connect with each other and the land though. One that draws me closer and closer to myself every day. ☽ If you struggle with control, ask yourself what you’re afraid of? What do you think you lack? What actually wants to be created instead of controlled? Who can you reach out to for connection and assistance? Chances are the control—which could also be a result of some trauma—may dissolve a little. ☽ Another thing you can do is get into nature. Nature lacks the need to control. Disconnect from social media, your job, and all the thoughts that tell you what you have to have, or should do. Give yourself a pause and clarity may come.
