I wanted the Change Makers design to be bold and playful, giving off the same high energy the quotes throughout do. We had budget to commission 20 illustrations for this title (from the super talented @solcotti), which I had the task of re-working into 48 different spread designs. The design needed to feel visually linked to the first book in the series, Bookish Women, whilst also be able to stand alone with impact. Simple typefaces were chosen with accessibility in mind, making this book approachable for as many people as possible.
