We are finally back home. Last 2 days were hard. Times like this really just teaches me to be grateful for a healthy child. Kudos to mamas and papas who are battling with sick child. The mental and physical exhaustion is unbelievable. Although i was extremely tired the last 2 days, but I'm so thankful that i can be there with her every step of the way to comfort her and make her feel safe and supported.
A mother's strength knows no boundaries. I nv knew how strong i can be until i keep having to be for my children.
6 months pregnant with hand carry, check in luggage and a 12kg on a carrier was how i managed to check in to the hospital with my #1. But the toughest part of it all was to see how calm, collected, cooperative and happy she still was the whole time even though she was tired and scared. I wanted to cry so many times but there was no time for that. If my daughter is soldiering on, what excuses do i have to not. The only time she broke was when they squeeze the blood from her fingers. It's a lot of blood to squeeze considering it's just a prick! She kept saying 'Layla miss home, Layla wants to go home now. It is not nice! It is not nice!' I know baby, mama missed home too. But we need u well and safe.
At the end of the day, a child's health is all that matters. I'll take all the suffering for you if i can.
Thank u my dearest baby. You're so much stronger than i could ever ask for. Thank you for being you. Thank you for choosing me. I am humbled by you every single day.
