Move 2022 Festival Culture club - Corps Collectifs 6 - 23 Oct 2022 Original Score by me for @centrepompidou @thaddaeusropac Had alot of fun making the music to this for @mandyelsayegh Choreographed by @alethiaantonia, using phrases such as; “you’re not safe here” & samples from Notting Hill Carnival 22 to convey the social, cultural and political interaction through collective dance and movement. The individual body, like the collective body has been impacted by the pandemic and measures it imposed. Our view of bodies existing together in a single space has changed and the beauty, strength and energy they develop now seem all the more significant. In addition, the divide between those who call for total individual freedom and those who seek a collective body more than ever representative of a truly safe space has become more pronounced. 
The collective body can be considered a community space in which to mingle, gather and build relationships. At the heart of this work, is the attempt to go beyond individuality, the complexity of today’s world being too much for the concept of individual freedom as a power to act, and requiring collective action. This score was about displacement, the space in between the Real & imaginary.
