Deborah Brett on celebrating nature with clay... ​​​​​​​​ ​​​​​​​​ “I love the dappled speckles that appear in the clay after firing and pressing individual leaves into each bowl makes every piece unique. The clay is then hand formed into bowls of varying sizes with my signature rippled edges.​​​​​​​​ ​​​​​​​​ Once fired I hand paint each leaf with stains and oxides to recreate the Bertioli for Thyme linens and finally after being glazed I added a gold lustre trim and details to the oak collection and a copper lustre finish to the horse chestnut.
