Insight: I’ve been seeing AI generated art and ‘self portraits’ across my timeline for the past week. Although it can appear threatening, I view it as an opportunity to form a relationship with something we all predicted would happen. I’m weary about contributing my facial identity to its algorithm, but, I did find myself curious and comfortable enough to upload a few in-progress pieces to @openaidalle and incorporate + manipulate elements from the variations into the artwork to make these. Lots of references all throughout but things feel more authentic and original that way, for me.
