I thought @portajerseycity had a band outside, which is not that unusual for them, so we stopped to listen on our way into the city. Then, they started playing one of our favorite songs- She Knows My Name by @thefamilycrest. After listening for a while, William started to explain why he loves this song so much- he talks about the love story of the main characters, and what it means to him. And it was beautiful. In the middle of his explanation, my ears started to ring. I realized what TF was up. Riiiight around the same time he points to 3 (what I thought were) random people, and they pull a trumpet out from behind their backs and start playing along🎺. Cue the water works. At this point, I’m basically dry heaving. I have no idea what I said to him once he dropped his knee, but whatever it was wasn’t yes, because he had to ask me again lol . . We weren’t going into the city, apparently, we were going up to Porta. Which is where we had our very first date. And where (most of) our friends and family were hiding 🥰 . . Not only did William put SO MUCH thought into this night for us, and learn/teach the music to these musicians he hired, but he wanted us to be able to remember it forever. So he got a professional videographer to hide, and capture this overwhelming moment 🥺❤️ . . I RAN OUT OF LUCK, obviously this union can only go down from here. I love you. Thank you for this moment.
