IYKYK. I recently had a convo with someone who thought my plus size shop small guide would hurt my own plus size vintage business, so let’s talk about it. While I do understand their point, shopping for plus size clothing is hard enough—why gatekeep gaslight girl boss when you can help build your community instead? The best thing about vintage, secondhand, and handmade/small batch shops is that no two shops are ever alike. We all have our own different items and aesthetics. Maybe I’m just bad at business, but I believe the more we share and support each other, the more people realize secondhand and sustainable shopping is available to them! I gotta be real, I don’t really give a damn about being the best or biggest—it seems exhausting tbh.
