Curtis and Sara have been nurturing this baby since 2020. They came together to create during a very turbulent time. This became their source of healing... almost an addiction to help themselves feel “normal” again. When they decided to put this piece on film, they asked me if I would shoot. I was immediately on board, yearning for opportunities to practice my DP skills. The joy in this piece is palpable, and absolutely mesmerizing. Artists need to create in order to survive, and that’s what Sara and Curtis did. Creation and collaboration with friends is a beautiful way to practice your artistry, especially when professional opportunities are scarce. We wanted to share this with you, in hopes that it would bring a smile to your face. If it moves you, get out there and play with people you trust.
