Early voting starts today in the District of Columbia, and WAMU/DCist Reporter Martin Austermuhle has a pro tip for you. On your ballot, you’ll see eight candidates running for the At-Large seats on the D.C. Council. Remember: you’ve got TWO votes that you can use here.
Every election cycle, thousands of people only vote for one candidate in the At-Large election. Surely some of those folks only like one candidate, but others simply don’t know they can choose two people. Now you do!
25 vote centers will be open for early voting across all wards until Sunday, November 6. You can also drop your mail-in ballot in one of the drop box locations. If you choose to mail it, make sure it’s postmarked by Election Day.
Didn’t have time to register? No problem. D.C. has same-day voter registration, but you’ll need to bring an ID. Still have questions? Check out our handy D.C. Voter Guide, a one-stop shop for election information in our region (link on bio or go to http://DCist.com/vote).
