Location: Antrim Playhouse 32 Old Tappan Road, Tappan, NY 10983 Show Description: A charming devil arrives in the quiet village of Edmonton to bargain for the souls of its residents in exchange for fulfilling their darkest desires. Each person must determine what their soul is really worth and they all have reasons to sell. Elizabeth has been deemed a witch after a fall from grace, Winnifred became a servant to be closer to Frank, who found his way into the heart and castle of Sir Arthur, a wealthy widower at a crossroad, while Cuddy, Sir Arthur's son, pines for his father’s approval and Frank's love while simultaneously wishing Frank dead. While Elizabeth’s soul is not so readily bought, when the devil returns to convince her, unexpected passions flare, alliances are formed, and the village is forever changed. Cast Requirements: 4 Male presenting & 2 Female presenting. All characters may be played by actors of any ethnicity. Strong actors who bring truth to comedy. Character Breakdowns Elizabeth Sawyer: (Female – age 50s-60s) An outcast. A witch? Scratch: (Male - age 30ish) The devil. Sir Arthur Banks: (Male – age 50s-60s) A wealthy and powerful man. Cuddy Banks: (Male – age 30ish) Sir Arthur’s son, painfully shy, a Morris dancer. He is secretly in love with Frank (and also in hate). Frank Thorney: (Male – age 30ish) A confident, charming and ruthless man. His ambition knows no bounds. Winnifred: (Female – age 20s-30ish) Sir Arthur’s servant, resigned and pragmatic.
