As we were wrapping up our year, our Denver bar leadership @jakebehindbars and @summer.the.babe stepped up with their own 2023 recaps. They pulled stats, enumerated peaks and valleys, shouted out their colleagues, and reminded us all why we do what we do — for the joy, the satisfaction, and, above all, the people we're lucky enough to call our teams. Their list was filled with inside jokes, accolades and acknowledgements, a few struggles overcome, and inspiration for the road ahead. They graciously allowed us to share (just a few!) highlights with you. In 2023, Death & Co Denver, as a team: - Sold over 200,000 cocktails - Hosted 27 industry events, whether they were small classes, pop-ups, or parties - Launched 6 brand-new menus - Went through 180 gallons of Frozen Espresso Martini mix (actual number) - Swept up 180 gallons of popcorn at the end of the night (estimate) - Visited @yachtclubbar 313 times (they're closed on Tuesdays) - Threw a pool party and cocktail dinner at @tales_of_the_cocktail with our Death & Co teammates - Helped train a bar team and a cafe team at @mollie.aspen in Aspen - Our employees competed on the national (and global) level in Speed Rack, World Class, Lustau Solera Standout, Nikka Perfect Serve (congrats @flynnr97!), Woodford Manhattan Experience, and the Hayman's Old Tom Gin competition - Over 30 employees celebrated a work anniversary, meaning they've been here for over a year (!) "We've hosted proposals, engagement parties, weddings, birthdays, wakes, retirement parties, film screenings, product launches, live bands, and countless other occasions that have been important moments in our guests' lives, and they trusted us enough to host them here." Thank you to all of our Death & Co teams (New York, Denver, LA, and D.C.) for everything — and to you, our guests, for your trust. Cheers, friends! (📸: @kellycalvillo)
