What better way to break my little August Instagram hiatus by joining in with @seam_collective ‘s #SeptTextileLove challenge. The first days prompt is About you/ Introduction, so hi 👋 I’m Millie, a weaver, artist and all round textile enthusiast. I started weaving recreationally years ago, as a way to keep busy (and sane!) while my children were small. Inspired, I went back to uni to study Textile Design at @herefordarts where I graduated last year. Since then I’ve been creating work in my studio, weaving artwork and textiles for interiors. I love working with colour and am passionate about the emotional connection we have with textiles. I have some exciting things coming up, new autumn workshops at my studio and @makeithappenhereford Aswell as my recently found love for writing about textiles on my substack - Connected Cloth.
