* At the moment abortion (though still heavily regulated) is protected in Kansas HOWEVER on August 2nd there will be an amendment on the primary ballot to ban abortion. The language is intentionally confusing and lawmakers have purposfully added it on the primary ballot because they know fewer people vote in the primary. 
 * If passed this will harm people all across Kansas, but the impact will be felt most by Black, Indigenous, Latinx, and other people of color, young people, and poor and working class people.
 * Not to mention, it will also deeply impact folks in bordering states where abortion is already illegal – like Arkansas, Oklahoma and Missouri – for whom Kansas is currently a safe haven to receive reproductive care. * Hope lies in ordinary people y’all.
