Introducing the PAM/PUMA BIO/VERSE, a radical platform for creativity, innovation and impact! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Through the BIO/VERSE, DEEP BioDATA has deployed acoustic biodiversity sensors with our technology partners @rainforestcx to enable our on-ground partners @institutojurua to develop a comprehensive understanding of the biodiversity along the Juruá River in the Brazilian Amazon. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This platform provides tools to study species of interest with acoustics and examine patterns of behaviour, while gathering evidence on the biodiversity richness, composition, distribution and value of the region. By doing in-depth surveys of biodiversity, an acoustic baseline is established to understand both species diversity and distributions while gathering data to create a Convolutional Neural Network. Instituto Juruá and local communities are being trained and empowered to lead both the management of the ecosystem as well as continued biodiversity analysis. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ In parallel, DEEP is working with iconic brands PAM and Puma to integrate biodiversity data and ecological thought into BIO/VERSE AW2022 campaign content.
