She started the "In her shoes" blog in 2009, which highlights Black women who are making a difference in the world and clearing the way for future generations. The blog won the 2011 Black Weblog award for "Best Business Blog of the Year." The documentary @shedidthatfilm which had its premiere at the ESSENCE Music Festival and currently streaming on Netflix was also created and executive produced by Renae.
