Playa stories time! ⠀ Our main Furandera and Bohocoats creator Katrin and our copywriter Ellie went for a nice walk in the desert. A whole trip, really:) Many wonders they met and soon found themselves resting by a pond. A real pond in the desert, you ask? Well, at the time it was the most real, refreshing and beautiful pond they'd ever seen, with water lilies sewn to its surface. ⠀ “The resort we deserve after all the hard work!" they said, sunbathing in the moonlight. Months spent endlessly sewing, packing, and shipping beautiful faux-fur coats. Lying here, refreshingly covered in the dust, the girls thought that it would be nice to commemorate the moment with a photo. They even had a camera! A real one that would instantly give them a tiny precious picture print (who kept it was a separate matter). But sadly there was no one around who could take this photo. With no apparent choice, Katrin and Ellie were making peace with resorting to selfies, when another girl approached the opposite shore of the dusty pond. ⠀ "You!" screamed the girls. "Take a photo of us!" The girl turned and eyes widened. They laughed, hugged each other and shared the stories of adventure, beautiful artwork seen or experienced, and which of their items had blown away during the last storm. ⠀ A figure stands behind them, the approaching girl's friend. "You know each other?" he asks. ⠀ "Yes," replies the approaching girl, extracting herself from a tangle of limbs. "Meet my boss, the one sunbathing, and the lovely lady pretending to swim in the pond is my colleague." ⠀ Ellie huffed, vexed by the word ‘pretend,’ and started swimming the other way. ⠀ "What?! And you are not at all surprised that you’ve just met? Just like that, on this huge playa?" ⠀ "No," said Olga, our editor. “I knew it was inevitable" ⠀ And off she went, Katrin and Ellie stayed by the dusty pond with the happiness of a (not so) sudden meeting. Left with a warm feeling and a super ugly photo we will never dare to show you here, or anywhere else 🙂
