Last night I went to a screening of "Die Kaiserin" - @netflixde told me the dresscode was "dress to impress" and right now I am mostly impressed of the bravery of Iranian and Kurdish women. I am impressed but also deeply confused and shocked of what is happening in the world right now. I decided to wear a Shirt that says #mahsa_amini because I wanted to bring attention to her and the movement that started since she was killed. The fact that so many people (kindly, not shady) asked me if #mahsaamini was a brand, showed me that we need to talk more about her. I am also aware that that was not her real name and she was actually Jina. But I still decided to write the other name on my shirt because I felt like more people would see and understand it 🙏🏼 I learnt a lot about what was going on through the accounts of @duzentekkal and @playgirlnikaa - who is looking for women to collaborate with her. She is also sharing things you can do to help now. Don’t be silent ❤️
