i know insta doesn’t want me posting stuff from tiktok but i thought that this might be helpful to anyone starting out in crocheting! <33 i first started doing this around june but didn’t take it seriously until september of 2022(?) because i needed a distraction from what was going on in my life at the time. but i was super SUPER impatient when i first started doing this. sometimes i would get up from crocheting a project and take a week break because i was getting annoyed with how long it would take to finish it. over time i kept practicing. now i listen to music or a podcast while crocheting because it helps calm me down a bit when i get impatient. i would highly recommend doing tiny projects in between like making a grandma square or a small heart because completing a project like that can add a sense of security. especially if you’re someone tht has to deal with self-doubt, like me. long projects can take a few days to a week and some days im not always 100% happy with rainbows and butterflies flying around me, which interferes with how i feel about my project. i try not to be too hard on myself though if a project doesn’t come out the same way it looked my my head. i always know that i can reuse the yarn if im not satisfied with the project and put it towards another project. crocheting has helped me a lot last year tho. i love being able to wear my art even if some ppl may criticize it since, most of my pieces are oversized. i know i can’t please everyone. crocheting has helped me heal and has taught me that i don’t need love from external sources to feel whole. i am able to give myself nice things. i am also able to share these nice things with others :) #fyp #fy #makeup #makeuptutorial #eyeliner #eyelashes #eyemakeup #makeupartist #fypシ #coquette #fypage #explorepage #extensions #wakeupandmakeup #makeupideas #makeuponpoint #crochet #knitting #crocheting #makeupideas #makeuplife
