✨ THE SET UP vs THE SHOT ✨ some of my favourite clients are headshot and portrait clients, why? Because I love the relaxing pace of the session. We get to chat and I try to understand my subject just enough to unearth their more truest essence in photograph form. Here are some tips on achieving the best portrait session as a photographer: 1. Have a chat with your subject before starting shooting. Who inspires them? Are they in love? What is thier motivation to get up in the morning? What sort of actor/person would they like to be? Etc these questions enables them to think deeply and tends to relax my clients as they can finally be themselves, which is what a headshot/portrait should be... THEM! ✨😊✨ 2. Time each look so you don’t get carried away shooting for too long on one outfit (I can be guilty of this at times) but once you have the WOW shot and you’re confident - move on to the next. & finally: 3.
