5 months in 45 seconds! Started on this project about this time last year, designing these two rings for @westhill_store. Something I’d previously never done before, seems to be a theme for me. Very intrigued with the process, I spent countless hours designing this. Figuring out a way to create pieces of jewellery to match the ‘organic’ nature of the raw precious metals themselves. I did this by simulating multiple gravitational fields around the geometry causing it to expand in a very random chaotic way. Working from that, I then joined each ring with a normal band shape, essentially creating two rings in one. Anyway, lots of trial and errors, lots of prototypes. Once me and Steven got there, the rings were then 3D printed, and casted using the lost wax casting technique, combining the old and the new. Set and polished by hand, absolutely my proudest moment. Big thank you to @westhill_store ♥️
