Today we celebrate #indigenouspeoplesday, and this weekend, I once again had the honor of working with this young powerhouse climate warrior + land protector activist and model, @quannah.rose. You may have seen her as the cover photo/story of the Oct 2022 @allure mag special issue, AND in her cover photo + featured article in July 2022 @natgeo magazine. To say all eyes are on her is an understatement. She’s driven, highly intelligent, sweet and funny. And insanely beautiful, obviously. She told me when given the option, she’s a more-is-more makeup kind of girl. I rarely get the opportunity with my clients to play like we did here, so this was extra fun for me. Here are a few of the products I used on her; the rest you’ll find by clicking on the link in my bio and scrolling to ‘shop my posts’. -skin prepped with @jenetteskincare Be Happy toner + oil, and @pangeaorganics’s nourishing moisturizer -a light application of @cheekbonebeauty complexion pencils to even out skin tone - @cheekbonebeauty Classics Palette. I love this palette for contour, highlight, and here for Quannah, I used their two bold blush tones for that pretty pop on her cheeks. -On her lips and patted on top of her cheekbones for a little extra glow: @iliabeauty ‘a fine romance’ multiple -I used @johnnyconcert’s silver eyeshadow with a wet brush to draw her eyeliner wings, and used a matte brown powder from @alimapure along the top edge and under her bottom lashes to add a little more depth.
