A week has passed and I have finally accepted that Halloween is over 😢. So it’s time for a belated but necessary post from a stack of Legos and the best little Lego boy, to say goodbye to our favorite time of year. And because we love Halloween, but we hate unnecessary waste, my costume is completely homemade from our @amazon boxes from the last month, glued on plastic bottle caps that were collected by friends and family, and then all spray painted. And since I know I have a less than environmentally friendly love of spray painting anything I can, the caps I used on my blue body Lego are from the bottles of spray paint I used to color all my pieces. But... more than anything I did to try to make this year less wasteful than most, what I am the proudest of is that the very special boy in the Lego suit insisted on donating his costume to his school’s collection drive as soon as he could, so that next year another kid can enjoy it and hopefully pass it along again and again. I can only hope that each of those kids has a stack of Legos next to them who finds a way to blend their love of Halloween and their desire to stop hurting our planet better than I ever could have dreamed of doing. 🟨💙🎨☠️🟦❤️👻🧱🟥🖤🎃
