Let me tell you something about this here babe - Jackie Woodburne - in the years I spent on Neighbours I met some very special, very wacky people and Jackie was by far the least wacky (most of the time) and the most special. However she made you feel as Susan Kennedy cannot compare to how she makes you feel as herself. She was my favourite teammate and working with her is still a career highlight for me. After all the years she spent in that same studio on those same sets she still cared massively about her work and her character, (Susan Kennedy Smith Kinski Kennedy) She’s been an onscreen mum and step mum to about 20 odd young Australians and I feel so lucky and privileged to have been a part of that club. Off set she’s one of the funniest people I’ve ever known. Neighbours ending is weird, sad and confusing but one thing I certainly know is that Jackie is a legend above and beyond this institution and I wish her the very best in the whole wide world. @neighbours
