We have officially landed in the heart! Hathor’s majestic temple welcomed us at 5pm just as the clouds had cleared and the sun was setting in Qena. This temple is wildly and wonderfully ornamented with giant heads of Hathor crowning every carved column and ceilings iced with a still vibrant turquoise blue. As a group we descended down a hole into the tiny underground crypt to practice “Hathor’s Mirror” an exercise practiced by the ancient high priestesses of gazing into the infinite vast pools of kindness in the eyes of the person before you. It was powerful, hypnotic and otherworldly. Hathor was the goddess of love, joy, dance, song and above all celebratory play. We got into the groove on the bus ride over with @talkrhodes leading an impromptu dance party and passing out jingling Hathor’s sistrums for us to rattle our hearts out. My personal favorite chamber in this temple is dedicated to Nuit, the night sky who overarches her feet and pours out the Milky Way from her womb. I lay down on the dirty ground flat as a spread eagle and drank in her stars in big gulps, accepting the divine love that is available to all of us once we show up, sit still and receive ❤️🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻❤️
