This summer I threw out the Ceremonial First Pitch at a @Washington Nationals game A single word cannot describe the experience...a story can. Picture a little boy who wanted to be just like his older brother, not able to wait until he was old enough to play @Little League Then the boy spent what seemed like every waking hour at the field. He went on to play AAU, American Legion, High School and Collegiate baseball. He didn’t make the minor percentage of players that get drafted to the big show. However, that boy walked on the mound last week and his older brother handed him a baseball not in their back yard in Woodbridge, VA but at Nats Park So I think there actually is one word to describe this...extraordinary. I am grateful for the opportunity! Being on that mound was genuinely a dream come true! I am also overjoyed to have been able to share the moment with my friends and family. They traveled far and wide to witness this moment. They traversed from California, Georgia, New York, Virginia and Maryland. My two closest friends from high school were on the field with me to take it all in. A true Entourage moment. My heart is...full. WE made it to the big leagues.
