save this baby led weaning idea! If you haven’t tried meal prepping a few things for your baby, give it a go, it’s a game changer. 👏 These are a play on porcupine meatballs, just way less seasoned. I like to serve it as is or topped with some Rao’s pasta sauce and Reese loves them. These give you a protein and veggie packed lunch in no time! - 1 pound ground turkey (could also use beef or whatever your preference) - veggies of choice (I did carrot and zucchini) make sure you get all of the excess water out if you use zucchini, broccoli is probably easier! - 1 egg - 3/4 cup cooked and cooled rice - 1 teaspoon garlic powder Combine turkey, grated veggies, cooled rice, egg, and garlic powder in a mixing bowl. Form into meatballs and bake in a 350 degree oven for 25 minutes. Make sure internal temp reaches 165 degrees. If storing in fridge and freezer make sure they’re completely cooled before doing so.
