Well this started out as a couple of photos post and by the end of it I was a blubbering wreck. When you see it all in pictures and clips and put it to music it turns out it triggers the tear ducts! Penny came to us as a slightly awkward Roehampton Uni student. She saw the advert on Facebook and lived opposite the old shop and needed a part time job. She graduated and then stuck around while she decided what to do with her life...! Turns out her life was with us for a looong time. She met her other half, James, who also worked with us, they moved in together , navigated life and then the pandemic together and now they're well and truly long term partners and baby number 1 is due very soon. She's been my rock for so long. Stuck by me through the pandemic, the shop move and more recently, some tricker days for me personally. I couldn't have done any of it without her. It's no fairy tale. She's a disaster when she's over tired, loves to panic over the weirdest things and boy do we bicker. She suffers my hormonal forgetfulness, fear of technology and eye rolls at me on a regular basis...(yes Penelope!!!) Aside from being a multi skilled. artistic, incredible employee, she's been the most magnificent friend to us all. She is up for anything, an insanely supportive cheerleader, kind hearted, funny, hugely capable and a great big massively good egg, and we will miss her beyond words. So Penny, thank you for everything. We wish you all the luck in the world with the biggest and most important installation of your life! We've no doubt you're going to be an epic Mama and we can't wait to meet our organic home grown Party Palace baby! I hope we've also triggered your tear ducts with this ridiculously long and slushy reel but as they say in all the corny posts and reels....
