If there is one thing I’ve learned professionally it is to surround yourself with passionate and motivated people who are pushing the boundaries of their craft. This year marks my 8th season as a runner with The North Face. I discovered running late in life, but was full of passion and excitement with youthful exuberance. I was welcomed in by the running community in various regions where I leaned into the experiences, motivation, and general support from others. I am still indebted to @mikefootemt and @wolfepaw for twisting @lisaburnes arm enough to give me a shot on the TNF athlete team. From there I have had the great opportunity to race in some of the toughest and most competitive races around the world, see some of the most beautiful places, experience various cultures, and meet some incredible people. I have also been welcomed into The North Face family where the best athletes from across the world and across disciplines combine to share and celebrate experiences of triumph and defeat. I am proud The North Face is investing in the next generation and future of our sports with the launch of the Athlete Development Program. The North Face is offering 15-20 athletes a 2 year contract to be part of the TNF athlete team, mentorship and development opportunities, and other tools to help launch their athletic endeavors.
