What a whirlwind it was working on this beautiful synthesizer and it’s a particularly big honour for me to have been bestowed the very first patch position on the factory bank of the Oberheim OB-X8. When you first boot this beauty up, I hope my sound takes you deep into the classic Oberheim zone. I want to give a big shout out to the entire development and sound design team @oberheim_electronics @sequential_llc . Everyone busted their chops ensuring that this does exactly what it says it does and embodying the sound, look and spirit of the Oberheim name. It saddens me that this is the last product I have worked on with Dave Smith, because without his pioneering genius and continual pursuit of technological excellence, none of this would be possible.
