You know when people say “chosen family” and you’re like “dramatic much?”. I’ve learned it’s not dramatic, it’s real. Case in point: at the screening, I was sitting next to @mattash89, one of the other four survivors. Because of Covid (he’s in Canada), he’s never seen the final film before. This was his first time. And it hits HARD. (In the best way but when it’s your face on screen...yeah.) But even though he was going through ALL the feels, he still checked in with me throughout the screening. “Are you okay?” “Doing okay?” This is my family. These are my people.
