#thesariseries The sari has shed its traditional associations, transcending formal wear and my grandmother's wardrobe. During my trip to India, I witnessed a remarkable shift as younger individuals, including those in circles I identify with, embraced the sari as a living, breathing garment. It became a symbol of casual elegance for small group tours, writers, and intellectual women, often in simpler, unadorned styles that my elders might describe as plain. Through these photos, I aim to capture a fleeting moment in time, showcasing the contemporary essence of the sari.
