I remember in college taking a course where we taught physical activity to kids with special needs, and one day I left the class half way through balling my eyes out because I couldn’t handle it/control the child I was working with. Never would I have thought I’d be raising a daughter with special needs and teaching her exercise everyday. My neck and back feel like they’re breaking, having to carry her, trying to get her to be mobil, it has been an extremely slow process. I get down on myself constantly thinking I’m not doing enough for her, not preforming my best at work for the farm, or not giving enough attention to Finn. It has been the biggest challenge I’ve faced. Taking a second here to look at how far we’ve come. She can sit unassisted and has become much more stable. We are working hard each day and attend 5 therapy sessions a week. Trying to get her to enjoy walking, but more so trying to get her to realize movement is a good thing. She is such a sweet girl and makes an impression on everyone she meets. Thank you to everyone (her therapist and family) that manages her tears and push her to do more, and to everyone that gives my back and neck a break and holds and loves her for even just a moment. I greatly appreciate you being on the journey with us!
