It’s been an honor to create! - New York-based studio @champalimauddesign has completed the Pearl Lounge at the Bahrain International Airport in Al Muharraq. Spread across 29,000 square feet, the 10-room lounge debuts as part of a new $1 billion terminal, setting a new standard for airport lounge experiences. “You have people coming off all of these different airlines from Europe and the Middle East, and they might have long layovers between flights,” says Champalimaud CEO Ed Bakos. “But the difference is that the Pearl Lounge is not branded to a particular airline.
