Last week, we made our love of reading extra official - with September 30th being made the first official “Texas Reading Day”! As part of our #HEBRead3 program, focused on child literacy, we held read-ins across the state at schools and libraries, and had over 2,000 Austin students join our friend @camilamcconaughey for an in-person reading at the @longcenter of her book, “Just Try One Bite”. With kids in attendance both in person and virtually, @mayorsteveadler delivered an official proclamation, marking 9/30 as a day that will live on to continue to inspire reading across our great state!
