Crazy to think how the 10k hours l put into learning this instrument has changed my whole reality. This same instrument I used to play on New York City subway platforms, at my Detroit public school gym when I was one of the nerdy ass band geeks in middle school, brought me to the craziest sessions, allows my to play in rooms I’ve always dreamed of, and worked with other artists I grew up listening to. Being a musician means so much to me. Learning how to make my viola sing, helped me to transition from being solely an instrumentalist to a producer, taught me how to articulate, and create timeless melodies. Encouraged me to write and sing and push myself to give all that I can to every record I touch.
