For “Euphrosyne”, Edwin’s inspiration ranged from Sims virtual skins to Hans Bellmer’s puppets to Flickr communities of disfigured Barbies - all main subjects covered in the masterclass of my online early aughts adolescence. There is no more terrifying horror than the one that is immediately recognizable and intimate. Edwin then makes it erotic (and exceptional).
