For his new cookbook “The Cook You Want to Be: Everyday Recipes to Impress” (Lorena Jones Books), dedicated to his Iranian parents, @andybaraghani wanted his love of design to be reflected in the photos. The Bay Area native and popular Bon Appetit contributor—pictured above perched on a 1960s Charlotte Perriand stool for Les Arcs— has been quietly educating himself about beautiful objects and how they can be enjoyed. The book’s lush images owe their beauty to more than the food. The plates, glasses and linens also reflect the subtle and luxurious aesthetic of the home Andy shares with his partner in Bellport, Long Island.
