Movements and Moments is in stores now! It collects remarkable graphic storytelling from authors in the Global South about Indigenous female-led revolts for gender equality, environmental rights, pay equity, and more. Check out some artwork from “Mama Dulu” as well as a few words from its creators. Author Citlalli Andrango: “For me, telling Mada Dulu’s story through comic form has been gratifying, and it's served as a powerful tool: we’ve been able to reach people who identified with the comic visually, and through it, with the story. It was important to me as a Kichwa woman to share Mama Dulu’s incredible contributions with a wider audience.” Artist Cecilia Larrea: "Comics are an amazing way to tell stories, to share a message, and to remember and commemorate Dolores Cacuango’s life.
