VIVA VILLA BIENNAL: Nidhal Chamekh Organized every two years as a biennal event, Viva Villa offers a glimpse of the diversity of the residents’ work from Villa Kujoyama, Villa Médicis, and Casa de Velázquez. The festival joins together 3 institutions based abroad, reuniting artists, creators, and researchers under one establishment in France. The project Chamekh led at the Villa Medici is entitled "And what if Carthage had not been destroyed?" It is a matter of taking this question of Édouard Glissant literally and unfolding its historical, artistic and symbolic potential.
