From Sunrise to Sunset. Yesterday was the big day we embarked on the journey from Marrakech to meet the weavers. We drove 11 hours in total to make the trip there in back in one day but was worth every minute to be sure the working conditions and compensation for the weavers were as we were told. Indeed the women are paid 4 times higher than average, which is a big deal for us because this trade is dying due to the decades of exploitation of the women weavers.
