MY DRESS! My husband introduced me to my now brother @joseph_fatboy Them two are the flyest Mf’s I’ve ever seen. He heard me and sketched out options for the dress. He is a living genius. It became a conglomerate of a couple ideas. Joseph, my husband and I ultimately landed on what you see. Joseph came with SKETCHES HONEY. he printed a photo of my head from the internet 😭so we could play with shapes and cuts (I’m very specific about cuts in my chest area) I asked for things and Joseph just kindly laughed and presented more reasons why we could do it. First time feeling so consistently encouraged- my husband brought this energy and confidence to my world. Joseph and Rivington are the VERY best. They’re also anthropologists and my favorite artisans. I learned that the Bible makes reference to a bridal gown 12 times exactly, and almost always mentions the bride wrapped in layers of linen and silk. The fabric and hood are biblically inspired. We made it in September a month exactly before the wedding. I gained weight (I was smack dab in the middle of shooting Beverly Hills cop 4 and all them snacks and crafty Lolol who cares) night before wedding Joseph was struggling to fit me in my dress haha and the strings from corset ended up cutting Joseph’s finger and it bled on the dress! He had to take it out morning of wedding along with the corset because my ass grew. it was giving drama. Didn’t matter. My best friend @bonnie brought me her diamonds to borrow from her wedding in May 😭. My shoes were navy blue Saint Laurent. (Riv and i didn’t know we both picked Saint Laurent shoes till we saw each other on our day) For our lunch party after, all I asked for was marigolds everywhere. I sent images to our magical flower girl sister Sarah @handandrose from the movie A LITTLE PRINCESS- that manifestation scene I’ve reflected on over and over again my entire life. The yearning for warmth. She made it happen and prioritized my dogs getting their marigold collars. My lunch dress I bought at H Lorenzo right after the ceremony. I pulled up to the store in a robe with heels. Walked out with a dress 😂 key here is flow and have fun with your life ESPECIALLY your wedding
