We will begin a new Sunday Forum series this week on the component parts of the Book of Common Prayer that shape the liturgy. If you’ve ever wondered how we choose the Scripture readings, what’s happening during the Prayers of the People, what the difference is between Rite One and Two and all the various Eucharistic Prayers, this is the series for you! On the Sunday before Lent, we will close the series with a practical session on the do’s and don’ts of receiving Communion. This week at 10 AM in the reception room, the Rev. Julia Offinger will speak about the lectionary that determines the Scripture passages we read.
