I get into “the zone”—it's where all my cares and worries wash away,” @anniemariemusselman says of how she feels when she photographs animals. “I dramatically feel an animal’s ancient awareness of this moment and this life, and I'm reminded of my true self, and I feel at peace. I see that humans have strayed from ourselves in the modern world, where we have gained much knowledge and lost much of our connection to nature.
