Most kids need a booster in the car until somewhere between 10-12 years old! Boosters protect big kids and tweens from injury to the abdominal organs and spine. To stop using a booster, kids should be at least 57in (that’s 4’9”) and pass the 5-Step Test for a safe seatbelt fit: 1. Shoulder belt crossing between the neck and the end of the shoulder. 2. Lower back all the way against the vehicle seat. 3. Lap belt low on the hips, touching the tops of the thighs. 4. Knees bent comfortably at the edge of the seat. 5. Child can sit this way for the entire ride. #cpst #childpassengersafetytech #childpassengersafety #boosterseat #boosterseatsafety #boostersareforbigkids #buckleup #bigkids #kids #tweens #elementaryschoolers #mom #dad #parents #momsoftiktok #dadsoftiktok #parentsoftiktok #childsafety #kidsafety #carsafetytips #carseattok
