Acne Location = Cause + Clue to Helping
Did you know the location of your acne is a major clue as to what is causing (or contributing to) those bumps?
Let’s break it down briefly. Follow along for upcoming posts on natural acne hacks :)
Forehead:
Aka “pomade acne” - hair products (gel, hairspray, hair masks, etc) can contribute to this type of acne. Remember to cleanse before bed and retinoids help :)
I like the OTC @differinus @larocheposayusa effaclar
Nose:
Noses have tons of sebaceous (oil) glands. These can easily get clogged and cause pimples to form. Beta hydroxy acids are some of my favorite ways to help this type of acne.
I love the @peach_slices acne toner, @freshbeauty kombucha toner, @itcosmetics bye bye breakouts
Chin:
Pimples on the chin are a big sign of hormonal acne.
Spironolactone does wonders for this type acne.
There’s also some evidence that green tea (spearmint) helps!
Cheek:
Usually inflammatory, this type of acne benefits from antibiotics and other anti-inflammatory meds.
Retinoids, zinc vitamins, BP gel also help!
I like @larocheposayusa effacer, @cleanandclear persa gel, @panoxyl
As always, comment your skincare questions!
